In land of Synogogue - A Documentary

 

This is a film about last 10 jews living in Mattamchery - a place near Cochin - in Kerala, India. Mattanchery is famous for the Paradesi Synagogue - The oldest among the commonwealth countries. The documentary includes several exclusive videos from the personal video collections of Sarah Cohen, the eldest Jewish person in the Jew Street. The film was made by Sarath Kottikkal as a part of the students project.

Simha Torah Festival

 
Aalvilakku means Tree of light (not the literal meaning), is a traditional lamp used for the high festivals like Simah Torah. It is a Jewish version of the lamps seen in hindu temples of kerala.
It is a collection of Tameed lamps.
